This was a very unique installation. With the lodge being high in the Selkirk Mountains, the only access we had was by helicopter.
Many trips were made before all our equipment was deposited on site.
The power system that we installed provides the lodge with clean, quiet energy.
Off Grid System at Beaver Lake Lodge
The 20 kW solar array that we installed at Beaver Lake Lodge has drastically cut their generator run time, which in turn has resulted in a huge reduction in diesel fuel consumption.
The generator had been running 24/7 and now with the addition of the solar array, it runs for as little as a couple of hours per day.
With this system, we included a Mag Web which allows us to monitor the system over the internet.
This Quad Inverter System from Magnum Energy was the first to be installed in Canada.

We traveled to the northwest tip of Calvert Island to the Hakai Beach Institute.
After consulting with SMA America and Jason from Hakai Energy Solutions Inc, we designed and installed a 26.4 kW solar array and a 45 kW 3 phase inverter system.
This is a mini grid system which is fully expandable to allow for future growth.
